Build It BIG!
Family Adventure
It's time for you to practice your skills at building!! It doesn't matter WHAT you choose to build, or what you choose to build it with, but the goal this summer is to make it as BIG as possible for whatever it is.
Here are some ideas to get you going:
- Grab a handful of spaghetti noodles and a bag of marshmallows or gumdrops and see how BIG you can build a tower with it.
- Gather up different types of paper, tape, popsicle sticks, various art supplies, and go for TALL and BIG!
- Gather up all of the blocks you can find in the house and build a tower using every single block
- Gather up every type of 'building' toys you have-- blocks, connectors, erector sets-- and combine them to create something BIG.
- Gather up a bunch of boxes and build a BIG building, or even an entire city in the back yard.
- With permission, gather up stray materials from around the house-- wood, nails, screws, etc.-- and build something unique and clever . . . and BIG.
- Use chairs and tables with blankets and sheets to build a BIG tunnel through the whole house.
The sky is the limit, and what you use to build with isn't as important as the experience and time together. The point is to
- choose your materials
- choose your project
- choose your helpers (it's way more fun to do it TOGETHER!)
- choose to have FUN with it!
