Family Adventure

Bird watching is a fun summer activity no matter where you live. Grab some binoculars and head out to look for birds.

If you happen to live near Box Elder County, or can plan to make a trip up that way, the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge is a GREAT place for bird watching.

The Wildlife Education Center is open Tuesday – Friday, 8:00a – 5:00p and second and fourth Saturdays, 10:00a – 4:00p, except Federal holidays.

The Auto Tour Route is open daily, sunrise to sunset throughout the year. The Auto Tour Route is a gravel road. Rain and snow may affect the road conditions so please use caution and drive slowly. If conditions become unsafe, the Tour Route will be closed. You can contact the office at 435-723-5887 for more information.

This Adventure is the same for Pre-K, Basic and Teen.

Community Engagement Adventure

For the Community Engagement level adventure plan to be a part of the annual Bird Count when it comes around again. Meanwhile, how about doing some research to find some great bird watching locations in your area and share it with fellow Adventurers by posting it in your local DiscoverFamily.Fun community.
